Happy Birthday to me!

Today I woke up with a strange feeling, I leveled up! Now I'm a human level 33. My wife had a present for me, a vampire counts coven throne / mortis engine. I think I'm going to build it as a mortis engine.

Blood Bowl! V

I finished the zombies! Sadly my camera isn't that good and barely you'll notice the difference in the skin tones. But anyways, I managed to paint all of my players before of the first match of this season. Next weekend I'll play against an Orc team.

Pero de cualquier manera, logré pintar a todos mis jugadores antes del primer juego de esta temporada. El siguiente fin de semana jugaré contra un equipo Orco.

Now, I place them on the pitch, and they look awesome! I think I'm going to paint the three skeletons too, even as I haven't any intention of giving them play time. I also going to paint the few others miniatures I have that allows me to play with a necromantic team. But first... I'm going to finish the last 6 exemplar errants. 

Ahora, los puse en la cancha ¡y se ven increíbles! Creo que voy a pintar también los tres esqueletos, incluso sin tener ninguna intención de darles tiempo de juego. Blood Bowl! IV

Hello,
Real world has been trying to stop me from painting. After a few evaluations on the university, and some important deadlines to met in my work, I was able to finish 4 of my zombies.
As I have 9 of them, but only 2 different sculpts, I decided to paint them with 5 different skin tones.
The ones I already finished are painted with:
Skin tone "A": Cammo Green base, a wash with a 1:1 Devlan Mud + water, a highlight of 1:1 Cammo Green + Rotten Flesh and a final highlight of Rotten Flesh.
Skin tone "B": Rotten Flesh base, a wash with a 2:1 Devlan Mud + water a highlight of Rotten Flesh and a final highlight with bleached bone.

El mundo real ha estado tratando de impedir que pinte. Después de algunas evaluaciones en la universidad, y algunos plazos importantes que cumplir en el trabajo, pude terminar 4 de mis zombis.
Como tengo 9 de ellos, pero sólo 2 diseños, decidí pintarlos con 5 distintos tonos de piel.
Los que ya he terminado han sido pintados así:

Piel tono "A": Base de Cammo Green, lavado 1:1 con Devaln Mud + agua, iluminado con 1:1 Cammo Green + Rotten Flesh y un iluminado final con Rotten Flesh.

Piel tono "B": Base de Rotten Flesh, lavado 2:1 con Devlan Mud + agua, iluminado con Rotten Flesh y un iluminado final con Bleached Bone.

Finally, I put magnets on the ball and the players, to play without worrying about the ball carrier "dropping" the ball.

Finalmente, puse imanes en la pelota y en los jugadores, para poder jugar sin preocuparme de que quien lleve la pelota "la deje caer".

Yesterday I played the final of the initial tournament for our local league. I won 2-0 against a Human team. Go Undeads, Go!

Ayer jugué la final del torneo inicial de nuestra liga local. Gané 2-0 contra un equipo Humano. Vamos No Muertos! Vamos!

Now, after two games, I guess I have had luck, because after each game I obtained 70.000 gc, so I hire a new ghoul after each match. Sadly each match ended with an injured ghoul, and in the last one the poor bonegnawer  suffered a smashed ankle, so it had -1 MA. Sad, sad, sad. Because he had no SP I'm thinking on replace him with a new ghoul.

Ahora, luego de 2 juegos, supongo que tuve suerte, pues después de cada juego gané 70.000 co, así que contraté un necrófago después de cada partido. Lamentablemente cada juego terminó con un necrófago herido, y en el último el pobre Roehuesos terminó con el tobillo roto, asi que tiene -1 Movimiento. Triste, triste, triste. Ya que no tiene puntos de estrella, estoy pensando en reemplazarlo con un nuevo necrófago.

Blood Bowl! II

Hi!, Yesterday I finished the two wights and started to work on the ghouls. I'm trying a new way for painting skin, I want to thanks Lendar for the tip. Basecoat with dheneb stone, then drybrush with skull white and finishing with a wash of ogryn flesh. To be honest the outcome didn't convince me, so I add a drybrush of tallarn flesh and then I liked the result. I'll take better pictures when I finish the ghouls.
¡Hola!, Ayer terminé los dos tumularios y empecé a trabajar en los necrófagos. Estoy probando una nueva forma de pintar piel, quiero agradecr a Lendar por el dato. Capa base dheneb stone, luego pincel seco con skull white y finalizando con un lavado de ogryn flesh. Para ser honesto el resultado no me convenció, así que le agregé pincel seco con tallarn flesh y entonces me gustó como quedó. Tomaré mejores fotos cuando termine los necrófagos.

I just didn't know how it happened, but it happened. I started a new game and a new "army".
I'm the proud coach of an Undead team!
The exemplar errants I was painting surely hate me because I putted aside and starting to paint my new team. But they will have to wait (hopefully not much) until I finished to paint the undead, because I'm on a local league, and I want to have my miniatures painted as soon as possible. The good thing is that I need a maximum of 16 models, and I almost finished 4 of them. I hope to finish at least the first 8 by this weekend.

No sé como sucedió, pero sucedió. He empezado con un nuevo juego y un nuevo "ejército".

Los exemplar errants que estaba pintando seguramente me odiarán por haberlos dejado a un lado y empezar a pintar mi nuevo equipo. Pero tendrán que esperar (espero que no mucho) hasta que termine de pintar los no muertos, pues estoy en una liga local, y quisiera tener todas mis miniaturas pintadas lo antes posible. Lo bueno es que a lo más necesitaré 16 miniaturas, y que ya he casi terminado 4 de ellas. Espero finalizar al menos las primeras 8 para este fin de semana.

Cadian Rough Riders and Penal Legionnaires

Hi all, this is the last of my work done in those months without posting. I always wanted to have a full cadian army, but the rough raiders aren't easy to convert. But then I found Victoria Lamb website and everything changed. Her conversion kit is amazing, and she did also a convertion kit for penal legionnaires.
For the rough riders I need to gather enough shoulderpads from the tank commanders, torsos and heads from shock troops and that's it. The horse comes from the fantasy empire's pistoliers.
For the legionnaires, I used catachan legs, and cadian arms.
Hola a todos, este es el último de mis trabajos hechos en los meses que estuve sin publicar nada. Siempre quise tener un ejército completamente cadiano, pero los rough riders no son fáciles de conversionar. Entonces fue que encontré el sitio web de Victoria Lamb y todo cambió. Su kit de conversión es fantástico, y ella hizo también un kit de conversión para legionarios penales.
Para los rough raidersnecesité conseguir suficientes hombreras de los comandantes de tanque, torsos y cabezas de la tropa normal y eso sería todo. Los caballos vinieron desde el kit de herreruelos imperiales de fantasy.
Para los legionarios, usé piernas de catachán y brazos de cadianos.

Magnetizing a Land Raider!

Well, true speacking this is no a step by step tutorial, because I finished the model before I could think of sharing it, I promise to do one with a Rhino I still not assemble.
For now I left you with my Land Raider:
Bueno, aunque en verdad no es un tutorial paso a paso pues el modelo lo terminé antes de que se me ocurriera compartirlo, prometo hacer uno con el rhino que me queda por armar. 
Por ahora, les dejo mi Land Raider: 

Materials:
1 land raider Crusader/Redentor.
2 disk magnets of 5mmx2mm
29 disk magnets of 3mmx1mm
3 magnets of 2mmx1mm
The land raider lascannon kit from Hoard o Bits (ebay)
A twin linked heavy bolters (just the weapons) from a Razorback.

Materiales: 
1 Land Raider Cruzado/Redentor.

1) With extreme care, do the perforations on the weapon support, like on this photo:
1) Con mucho cuidado hacer agujeros de 5mm en los soportes de las armas, tal y como se puede ver en la siguiente foto: 

2) To magnetize the weapons, before finish the lascannon or the flamestorm cannon's assembly, glue magnets on the same holes that comes for joining with the weapon support. You can insert the 3mm drill first to make sure the magnets fits.
2) Para imantar las armas, antes de terminar el ensamblaje del cañón láser o de los lanzallamas del redeemer, pegar imanes en los mismos agujeros que vienen para unirlos al soporte. Repasar primero con una broca de 3mm.

3) For the weapon's "shield", I used a 3mm magnet inserted into the hurricane bolters, and two magnets glued together for the flamestorm cannon.
3) Para el escudo lateral de las armas, usé un imán de 3mm metido en los bolters huracán, y 2 imanes juntos en el caso del lanzallamas.

4) For the assault cannon/heavy bolter, I used 3mm magnets on the weapons, in the same way that I used in the sponsor weapons, gluing one on the weapon support, and one on each of the weapons, on the same hole that comes for joining them to the weapon support. The way I joined the weapon to the hull proved to be more complex, because I want to have a 360 degrees rotation, but the solution was simple, I used a joist from the imperial city kit served as support for putting a magnet just in the middle.
4) Para el cañón de asalto/bólter pesado, usé imanes de 3mm, en las armas mismas, de la misma forma que usé en las laterales, poniendo uno en el soporte y uno en cada una de las armas, en el mismo agujero que traen para unirlos al soporte. La unión al tanque demostró ser algo más complejo si quería que girase libremente, pero la solución fue sencilla, una viga de sobra de la ciudad imperial me sirvió como soporte para que el imán quedara en su sitio, justo en medio. 

5) I want the hatch magnetized as well, just in case I didn't want the multimelta, so putting a little portion of putty (I used grey stuff) on the gunner base, and applying a magnet to a piece of sprue, I was able to magnetize both hatches.
5) quería dejar imantada también la escotilla para el extraño caso de no querer poner el cañón de fusión, así que poniendo un poco de masilla en la base del artillero y aplicando un imán a un trozo de matriz logré imantar ambas escotillas. 

6) To avoid damages to the antennas when I carry it out home, I decide to magnetized them as well. Here I used the 2mm magnets, 2 on the comunication antenna and one mor on the tall antenna, the base of it hace a 3mm magnet for more magnetic force.
6) Para evitar que las antenas se rompieran al transportarlo, también decidí imantarlas, acá usé los imanes de 2mm, 2 en la antena de comunicaciones y 1 más en la antena recta. La base de la antena recta tiene un imán de 3m para mayor poder de sujeción. 

And that's all folks!
Now I'm thinking of it, I would magnetize the frag assault launcher, but when I come up whith the idea of magnetize this tank, the hulk was glued together.. We always can do better, right?

Y eso es todo! 

Ahora que lo pienso, hubiera podido imantar los lanzagranadas, pero ya tenía el tanque armado cuando me dió por imantarlo. Siempre se pueden mejorar los proyectos, ¿no?

The High Reclaimer and mounted Gravus!

Having a little time before lunch, I want to post those two miniatures I painted on March. I liked The High Reclaimer robes, painted with chaos black and highlighted with charadon granite. This miniatures has been painted with the cinnamon copper too (and all the miniatures of menoth will be painted with this color from now).
Teniendo algo de tiempo antes del almuerzo, qusiera publicar estas dos miniaturas que pinté en Marzo. Me gustó la túnica del High Reclaimer, pintada con chaos black e iluminada con charadon granite. Estas miniaturas han sido pintadas también con cinnamon copper (y todas las miniaturas de menoth serán pintadas con este color desde ahora).
