I'm back! (again)

Yeah, I know. I'll try again to update my blog on a regular basis again... let's see if I be able or not...

Since the launch of End Times Nagash and since I bought and painted Nagash itself, I realized that the best friend of him was the Hierotitan. But without an official model and being too lazy to do the conversion, I don't have one, so after searching on the internet, I came to Rothand Studio blog, where they sell legs made by the creator of the site to do a conversion, even full conversions and painted ones too. So I contacted them and bought a kit legs. That plus a necrosphinx and a couple of extra bits, let me create my own hierotitan:
Desde que salió el libro de Nagash y desde que compré y pinté a Nagash mismo, me dí cuenta que el mejor amigo de Nagash era el Hierotitán. Pero al no tener miniatura y al ser yo bastante perezoso como para hacer la conversión, no lo tenía, así que después de bucear por internet, llegué a Rothand Studio, donde venden desde las piernas hechas por el creador del sitio, hasta conversiones completas y pintadas. Así que mie contacté con ellos y compré un kit de piernas. Eso más una necroesfinge y un par de bits extra, me permitieron crear mi propio hierotitán:

I finished it at last! Just remember to not fully assemble this model if you want to paint it, I did and it was very difficult to paint because of that. I use the same schema used for the dire wolves.

¡He terminado al fin! Sólo recuerden no armar completamente este modelo si desean pintarlo, yo lo hice y fue realmente difícil de pintar debido a ello. Usé el mismo esquema usado en los lobos espectrales.

More undead! Dire wolves and Crypt Horrors

In two weeks I'll be participating on a Warhammer Fantasy tournament. My goal is to bring a fully painted 2500 points army, so in the last weeks I was painting the lasts units I have without paint. Here they are, 10 dire wolves and 6 crypt horrors. Can you notice which crypt horrors have the legs and front torso made of grey stuff?

En dos semanas estaré participando de un torneo de Warhammer Fantasy. Mi meta es llevar un ejército de 2500 puntos complatamente pintado, así que en las últimas semanas he estado pintando las últimas unidades que no tenían pintura. You'll notice the tombstones that I used on the crypt horror's bases. I bought a bunch of plastic ones from Renedra and more from an ebay seller, miniature.architects. I highly recommend both sellers. Now my Vampire Counts army will be cemetery themed. Oh, I almost forgot, I painted my Strigoi Ghoul King too!
Ustedes podrán notar las tumbas que usé en las bases de los horrores de la cripta. Compré un montón de ellas de plástico en Renedra y más de un vendedor de ebay, miniature.architects. Recomiendo mucho a ambos vendedores. Ahora mi ejército de Condes Vampiro será con un tema de cementerio. Ah, casi lo olvido, también pinté a mi Rey Necrófago Strigoi!

Skeletons and Mortis Engine

Well, after a long and well deserved vacations (that included a trip to Brazil), I'm back with my February work. First, my skeletons. I finished my three units:

This last week I worked on the Mortis Engine, using the same technique I used on the ethereal before. I'm very happy with the result.
Esta última semana trabajé en el Sagrario Mortis, usando la misma técnica que usé en los etéreos antes. Estoy muy contento con el resultado.

Wraiths, Banshees and Spirit Hosts!

I finished those guys tonight. Starting tomorrow I'll be working on Intercessor Kreoss.

While I wait for Intercessor Kreoss to arrive, I'll continue my work on the Vampire Counts. This time I decided to give me a breack from the skeletons (I have 20 more to paint), and try a very interesting technique borrowed from a Vampire Counts forum user, Seth.

Here is the result for a couple of banshees, wights and spirit hosts:

Mientras espero a que llegue Intercessor Kreoss, continuaré mi trabajo en los Condes Vampiro. Esta vez decidí darme un descanso de los esqueletos (tengo 20 más que pintar), e intentar una técnica bastante interesante tomada desde el usuario del foro de Condes Vampiro, Seth.

A new project...

Now, with only 12 models to complete to finish all of my Protectorate of Menoth miniatures, a new project has been started, my vampire counts!
So, I started to paint my skeletons, and I primed my three 25-men units.
Ahora, con tan sólo 12 modelos del Protectorado de Menoth por terminar, un nuevo proyecto ha sido empezado, ¡mis condes vampiro!
Así que, empezé a pintar mis esqueletos, imprimando mis tres unidades de 25 efectivos.

I have spent almost all of this month on this, and so far I have 32 models ready, please take a look on them:

They don't have shields, because I really like the ones from the 7th edition skeletons, so I bought some on Ebay and when they arrive, I'll paint them and attach them to the skeletons.
You can see some non human skeletons, orc and skaven. I bought some of the 5th edition mercenary unit, the cursed company, to add more flavor to my units. The necromancer in the middle is from reaper miniatures.
The bone was simple to paint. Bone primer from Army painter, then devlan mud wash, dry brush with bleached bone and finally dry brush with skull white.
No tienen escudos, porque realmente me han gustado los de los esqueletos de 7ma edición, así que compré algunos en Ebay y cuando lleguen, los pintaré y se los pegaré a los esqueletos.
Podrán ver algunos esqueletos no humanos, orco y skaven. Compré algunos de la unidad mercenaria de 5ta edición, la compañía maldita, para agregar variedad a mis unidades. La nigromante del medio es de reaper miniatures.
El hueso fue sencillo de pintar. Imprimante Hueso de Army Painter, luego tinta devlan mud, pincel seco bleached bone y finalmente pincel seco con skull white.

Blood Bowl! V

I finished the zombies! Sadly my camera isn't that good and barely you'll notice the difference in the skin tones. But anyways, I managed to paint all of my players before of the first match of this season. Next weekend I'll play against an Orc team.
¡Terminé los zombis! Lamentablemente mi cámara no es tan b uena y ustedes apenas notarán alguna diferencia entre los distintos tonos de piel. Pero de cualquier manera, logré pintar a todos mis jugadores antes del primer juego de esta temporada. El siguiente fin de semana jugaré contra un equipo Orco.

Now, I place them on the pitch, and they look awesome! I think I'm going to paint the three skeletons too, even as I haven't any intention of giving them play time. I also going to paint the few others miniatures I have that allows me to play with a necromantic team. But first... I'm going to finish the last 6 exemplar errants. 

Ahora, los puse en la cancha ¡y se ven increíbles! Creo que voy a pintar también los tres esqueletos, incluso sin tener ninguna intención de darles tiempo de juego. Además pintaré las otras pocas miniaturas que tengo que me permiten jugar con un equipo nigromantico Pero primero... terminaré los últimos 6 exemplar errants.

Blood Bowl! IV

Hello,
Real world has been trying to stop me from painting. After a few evaluations on the university, and some important deadlines to met in my work, I was able to finish 4 of my zombies.
As I have 9 of them, but only 2 different sculpts, I decided to paint them with 5 different skin tones.
The ones I already finished are painted with:
Skin tone "A": Cammo Green base, a wash with a 1:1 Devlan Mud + water, a highlight of 1:1 Cammo Green + Rotten Flesh and a final highlight of Rotten Flesh.
Skin tone "B": Rotten Flesh base, a wash with a 2:1 Devlan Mud + water a highlight of Rotten Flesh and a final highlight with bleached bone.

El mundo real ha estado tratando de impedir que pinte. Después de algunas evaluaciones en la universidad, y algunos plazos importantes que cumplir en el trabajo, pude terminar 4 de mis zombis.
Como tengo 9 de ellos, pero sólo 2 diseños, decidí pintarlos con 5 distintos tonos de piel.
Los que ya he terminado han sido pintados así:

Piel tono "A": Base de Cammo Green, lavado 1:1 con Devaln Mud + agua, iluminado con 1:1 Cammo Green + Rotten Flesh y un iluminado final con Rotten Flesh.

Piel tono "B": Base de Rotten Flesh, lavado 2:1 con Devlan Mud + agua, iluminado con Rotten Flesh y un iluminado final con Bleached Bone.
