I'm back! (again)

Yeah, I know. I'll try again to update my blog on a regular basis again... let's see if I be able or not...

Since the launch of End Times Nagash and since I bought and painted Nagash itself, I realized that the best friend of him was the Hierotitan. But without an official model and being too lazy to do the conversion, I don't have one, so after searching on the internet, I came to Rothand Studio blog, where they sell legs made by the creator of the site to do a conversion, even full conversions and painted ones too. So I contacted them and bought a kit legs. That plus a necrosphinx and a couple of extra bits, let me create my own hierotitan:

It has been several months since I post here and I have a lot of work to show. In the last months my life changed a lot, because I'm now a proud father.

Rorsh and Brine!

Now I have finished a lesser warlock for my Protectorate army. Rorsh and Brine will be a fine addition to my forces. Painting them was more time consuming than the usual Menoth miniatures, but it's nice to paint with a brownie scheme instead of my normally white or grey schemes.

IG Chimeras and some Mercenaries!

Hello, I changed my mind and as I wanted a little break from painting Imperial Guard infantry, I picked up my airbrush and I gave the base colors for some of my vehicles. Now I have three chimeras, two vendettas and a leman russ with the base colors. Of those I picked up the chimeras and I gave some color, finishing all three.
Hola, cambié de idea y como quería un descanso de pintar infantería de la Guardia Imperial, tomé mi aerógrafo y le dí el color base a algunos de mis vehículos. Ahora tengo tres quimeras, dos vendettas y un leman russ con los colores base. De esos tomé las quimeras y les di algo de color, terminando las tres.

Veterans and a Commissar

I finished a veteran squad and a commissar. For the veteran squad I used the "Cadian infantry squad with respirators upgrade pack" and the "Cadian special weapons with respirators" kits from Forgeworld. They make a difference compared with the normal cadian models that form my platoons, but at the same time they are very similar, so they looks like veterans has to look (at least as I thought they should look). Now I'm going to paint my second veteran unit, the one with the meltaguns.
Terminé una escuadra de veteranos y un comisario. Para la escuadra de veteranos usé los kits de Forgeworld  "Cadian infantry squad with respirators upgrade pack" y los "Cadian special weapons with respirators". Hacen una diferencia comparados con los modelos normales de cadianos que forman mis poelotones, pero al mismo tiempo ellos son muy similares, así que se ven como los veteranos debieran verse (al menos como yo pienso que deberían verse). Ahora voy a pintar mi segunda unidad de veteranos, la que tiene rifles de fusión.

Imperial Guard!

Long time since my last post. But I has been very busy days.
Anyways, here are my last advances to bring some color to my Imperial Guard. The first three infantry squads for my Infantry Platoon are ready, as well as the platoon command squad. I also finished a Company command squad and a 5-men squad of kasrkins. For the emperor!
The novelty on those models is the use of decals on the shoulder pads. Okay, I had used decals in the past with menoth, but they are two differences, first, this are just normal decals from GW, and secondly, they are placed in a shoulder pad, one of the most hideous places to put a decal on. But I succeeded with the decals using MicroSet and MicroSol products, they are really awesome, and easy to use.

De cualquier modo, acá están mis avances en lo que a ponerle color a mi Guardia Imperial se refiere. Las primeras tres escuadras de infantería para mi Pelotón están listas, igual que la escuadra de mando del pelotón. Además terminé una escuadra de mando de la compañía y una unidad de 5 kasrkins. ¡Por el Emperador!
La novedad en estos modelos es el uso de calcas en las hombreras. Bueno, usé calcas en el pasado con menoth, pero hay dos diferencias, primero, estas son calcas normales de GW, y segundo, están puestas en una hombrera, uno de los lugares más horribles para poner una calca. Pero tuve éxito con las calcas usando los productos Microsol y Microset, son realmente asombrosos y fáciles de usar.

I finished it at last! Just remember to not fully assemble this model if you want to paint it, I did and it was very difficult to paint because of that. I use the same schema used for the dire wolves.

Power weapons!

I'm going to participate on a Warhammer 40k league, and to be prepared for it, I finally started to build some power weapons for my sergeants. After playing around with my drill, this where the results:

The arms are magnetized, so I can swap between any of the power weapons or with the normal c/c weapon.

More undead! Dire wolves and Crypt Horrors

In two weeks I'll be participating on a Warhammer Fantasy tournament. My goal is to bring a fully painted 2500 points army, so in the last weeks I was painting the lasts units I have without paint. Here they are, 10 dire wolves and 6 crypt horrors. Can you notice which crypt horrors have the legs and front torso made of grey stuff?

En dos semanas estaré participando de un torneo de Warhammer Fantasy. Mi meta es llevar un ejército de 2500 puntos complatamente pintado, así que en las últimas semanas he estado pintando las últimas unidades que no tenían pintura. You'll notice the tombstones that I used on the crypt horror's bases. I bought a bunch of plastic ones from Renedra and more from an ebay seller, miniature.architects. I highly recommend both sellers. Now my Vampire Counts army will be cemetery themed. Oh, I almost forgot, I painted my Strigoi Ghoul King too!
